Covid Corp- Paid internship- Summer 2020

Covid Corp is a Montgomery County Program to offer support to communities affected most harshly by the COVID-19 Pandemic. Support involved working with seniors to improve digital literacy, and delivering food to low income communities.
I bussed to a neighboring city to work in predominantly senior-populated community centers, teaching the elderly to use Zoom and set up email accounts. I was also in charge of contacting seniors to schedule said digital literacy appointments, and making sure they know where and when to pick up food in our “Meals on Wheels” program, if needed.

I founded and won a spot for “Diversity Chair '' in BCC’s National Honor Society.  In the NHS, I focus on recruiting minority scholars, participating in environmental community service, and maintaining academic distinction. I also belong to the National English Honors Society.

Raqs Habibi- Extracurricular, 2017-2020

I danced in Raqs Habibi, a Middle-Eastern dance company. We have performed at venues including the Pakistani Embassy, Wolf Trap, the National Cathedral, and the Atlas Theatre. In 2019, I involved the company at my school’s international night.
