My name is Becca Contestabile and I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. I have been fortunate to have born with my best friend because I am a twin. I am a 2023 graduate of La Roche University where I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree with a major in biology and minor in Chemistry. During my time there, I held an outstanding 4.0 GPA, earning the distinction of class valedictorian, as well as received many Dean's List certificates and academic scholarships. I will be attending Purdue University College of Veterinary Medicine, with my twin sister, in the fall of 2023 to earn my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. I have a strong interest in animal physical therapy and rehabilitation, so as a veterinarian, I hope to become a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation because it is rewarding to see animals once hindered by pain and poor mobility regain their independence and strength to happily live their lives to the best quality. Outside of school, I work as a veterinary assistant at a small animal veterinary hospital as well as volunteer at various animal rescues and organizations. In my free time, I enjoy crocheting, listening to country music, relaxing outdoors, and spending time with my fur babies - an orange DSH cat named Kevin and a sweet dachsund named Luna.
