Every Tuesday and Thursday, I babysat my cousins from when they were babies until they were in kindergarten.  When they would come over, I would feed, entertain, and wash them. I would read them to sleep at the time their parents intended. While they were asleep, I tidied up the house to provide a safe and nurturing environment. I taught them the alphabet and value skills. I always watched them so they wouldn’t get hurt. 

 

Garage Sale Associate | 07/2023 - 08/2023

To prepare for the Garage Sale, I cleaned the entire house. I showed up on time and effectively completed my tasks for the day. Weeks before the Garage Sale, I advertised the dates on Craigslist. I communicated with my employees regarding the setup of products. I took the initiative, grouping items into categories. During the Garage Sale, I greeted customers and engaged in friendly conversations. I checked them out and wished them a good day. Afterward, I worked with my colleagues to pack the remaining items and ship them to Salt and Lite.  

 

Marathon Helper | 05/2023 - 05/2023 

High School – Champaign, IL 

I followed the group, listened to and accomplished the teacher’s directions. I paid close attention to trash littering the ground, making sure I picked up every piece. I worked efficiently, yet I made sure I avoided the runners. By the end of the 6 miles we cleaned, I communicated with the other helpers their duties for the rest of the marathon.
