Who Am I
Greetings!
I am a senior in High School at California Connections Academy of Southern California.
I was formerly an elite figure skater, under the tutelage of world-renowned skating coach, Rafael Arutyunyan (Coach for 2022 Olympic Gold Medalist, Nathan Chen). I represented the Chinese Taipei Skating Union in ISU (International Skating Union) international skating competitions.
My journey has led me to volunteer at State-of-the-Art Physical Therapy (SOTA PT). During my freshman and sophomore years in high school, I was under mentorship by the owner of SOTA PT, Brian Wong. I witnessed firsthand the importance of taking care of our bodies, especially as high-level athletes. I encountered patients from diverse backgrounds, ranging from the elderly to elite athletes, all deserving the highest level of care and attention. By sharing my knowledge and utilizing the experience gained from my own journey. It was my mission to help others in pursuit of overall wellness. This was my way of giving back what had been graciously given to me.
Recently, I’ve embarked on a new path by participating in research. After struggling with a severe ankle injury during my skating career, I explored various treatment options until discovering regenerative medicine. I was recommended platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell injections. These injections miraculously restored my mobility. Now, as a student researcher, I am engaged in writing and awaiting publications on several papers. I’ve geared my research towards regenerative medicine and the impact it has on patients’ lives. I have the opportunity to see firsthand how these procedures restore a patient’s health. My ultimate goal is to share this knowledge I have gained and help others achieve pain-free living.
My personal journey has taught me the importance of hard work, empathy and, above all, selflessness. The generosity and selflessness my mentors have displayed have played a role in shaping my positive experiences. I am committed to serving others, utilizing my unique background and research to make an impact.
