Brooklyn Hinton is a passionate, purpose-driven young leader and aspiring civil rights attorney currently studying Business Administration on the Pre-Law track at Hampton University. Hailing from the Midwest, she blends ambition with compassion, consistently using her voice and platform to uplift and advocate for others—especially Black communities and women. Her leadership journey began early, serving as president of both her high school’s Black Student Union and a mentoring group for African American girls. Now at Hampton, Brooklyn continues to lead through initiatives like her vision for Women @ The Waterfront, a club centered on sisterhood, self-care, and professional development.

Her long-term goals are rooted in justice and empowerment: becoming a sports agent and founding The Power Project, a nonprofit dedicated to increasing political awareness and civic engagement among Black youth. Brooklyn’s experiences—from volunteering with the Akadettes to growing food in community gardens—have taught her the value of hard work, empathy, and perseverance. With a deep commitment to intersectionality, education, and change-making, she is a force destined to impact the world through advocacy, law, and leadership.
